Biography

He is a graphic designer, typographer, pedagogue, and publicist. He studied cultural studies at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague. Since the mid-1990s, he has been lecturing on typography and leading various workshops in the Czech Republic and abroad.

He co-founded the magazine Typo (2002–2012). Together with Pavel Kočička, he wrote the textbook Praktická typografie (Practical Typography, 2000), and he is the author of the script Písmo v počítačové grafice (Fonts in Computer Graphics, 2007) publication Plakáty sametové revoluce (Posters of the Velvet Revolution, 2009).

He is co-author of the project Identita, which received the Czech Grand Design 2024 Graphic Designer of the Year award.
